Polyurethane PU

Polyurethane (PU) is a material that offers a combination of high tensile strength, durability & load-bearing capabilities with great abrasion resistance, high elasticity & excellent impact resistance. Available in a range of hardness’s & colours. Long term service temperature 85ºC. Polyurethane can be custom moulded to suit nearly any application.
Elastomeric material with shore hardness from 50A to 75D
Amazing toughness, flexibility and resistance to abrasion & tearing
Provides properties not available in conventional rubbers, metals or plastics

Features

Exceptional Properties

Polyurethane can be moulded into custom parts in a range of colours & hardness’s to suit specific applications. Polyurethane will withstand severe abuse and impact with its extreme durability & resistance to tearing & cracking. Polyurethane is hydrolytically stable & has fantastic resistance to chemicals & oils.

Hardness Scale

Polyurethane hardness is measured in Shore Hardness (A & D). It is commonly used in hardness’s from 50A for anti-rebound materials to 75D  for sprockets, gears & chain lugs. A very versatile material. Custom parts can be manufactured from any polyurethane grade across the hardness spectrum.

Applications

Polyurethane is used in many industries and in applications such as rollers, scraper blades, wheels, cushioning pads, vibration reduction blocks, sprockets, gears, bump stops, concrete moulds, seals and bridge bearings. Extend product life, reduce wear, absorb vibration & reduce noise.
