Refuse Flight Chains
​Refuse flight chains are generally used for long sprocket centre distance conveying of refuse products in non-abrasive environments such as sawdust & wood chip conveyors. The chain flights can be sleeved with UHMW-PE, metal filled UHMW-PE or pulp friendly polyurethane for the Kraft process. Available in standard box section or custom manufactured.

Flight Sleeves
​Two sleeve sizes are available off the shelf in virgin UHMW-PE: box section 4″ x 4″ & flat bar 2″ x 4.5″. These snugly press fit over the attachment profile. Available in 10ft lengths, we will cut to your specific requirements.
Chain Selection
Refuse flights are generally fitted to 6.050″ pitch WH132 or WH157 conveyor chains. We recommend CAN-AM conveyor chains for these applications as they have been industry proven over the last 60 years in the harshest operating conditions. Our stocked chains by default are fully heat treated with heat treated rivets.
​Reduce Costs
The flight sleeves offer a range of cost savings that can be taken advantage of such as being able to design conveyors with single chain strands with large flight attachments compared to double strand designs. The attachment sleeves due to the low co-efficient of friction extends chain & conveyor bed life & reduces noise.
​UHMW-PE Virgin
Low co-efficient of friction. Self-lubricating, require less power to drive than steel flights. Reduced conveyor wear. Reduced noise.
​UHMW-PE Metal Filled
High specific gravity (sinks), activates metal detectors, UV stabilised. Can be separated from wood pulp in solution. Retains all other virgin UHMW-PE properties.
​Polyurethane 75D
​High specific gravity (sinks)​. Designed to replace UHMW-PE found in pulp mills. Dissolves in the Kraft process. Good wear characteristics. Impact & abrasion resistant.
