Acetal POM C & H
Acetal, chemically known as polyoxymethylene is a semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic. Acetal POM materials are strong, rigid and have a low coefficient of friction. Due to their exceptional creep resistance and low moisture absorption, TECAFORM Acetal is an excellent material for parts that require a high degree of dimensional stability. Available in a range of copolymers (POM-C) and homopolymers (POM-H).

POM-C & POM-H
TECAFORM Acetal POM is available as a copolymer (POM-C) or homopolymer (POM-H). Acetal POM-C is more resistant to hydrolysis, hot water and hot air. It has higher chemical resistance and lower melting temperature. Acetal POM-H offers higher mechanical properties such as strength, creep and hardness and generally exhibits better wear resistance.

High quality Ensinger TECAFORM Acetal products are available in a range of standard and advanced grades, stock shapes and colours. Natural unfilled, solid lubricant, anti-static, conductive carbon, metal detectable and medical grades available. FDA and EU10/2011 food grade compliant materials are available for applications that demand it.
Applications
Sliding components like bearings, bushes, gears, rollers, thrust washers and guide rails. Parts that require snap fastenings or assemblies. Electrical insulating parts and parts that require a very high degree of dimensional stability. Parts that require long-life or have thin-walls. Parts requiring FDA or EU10/2011 food compliance.
