Features

Versatile

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is one of the most widely used plastics. With a density range of 0.93–0.97 g/cm³, HDPE has a high strength-to-weight ratio. It has good chemical resistance, weldability and will not delaminate.

Options

HDPE can be extruded in a wide range of colours. It can also be modified for applications such as anti-skid sheet, shielding for x-ray protection, orthopaedic technology and as pipe grade for the water and wastewater industry.

Applications

HDPE is used for cutting boards and playground equipment in various colours with embossed surface finishes. It is also used as partition boards in commercial bathrooms, and for multi-coloured sign boards. HDPE is often used to replace plywood in damp environments, as it will not rot, swell, or chip.
