PEI Plastic
PEI plastic (polyetherimide) standard grade offers exceptional electrical, thermal & mechanical properties with fillers available such as glass fibers increasing tensile strength & dimensional stability. TECAPEI PEI plastic is suitable for environments requiring repetitive steam sterilisation & resistance from chlorine/caustic/acid chemicals. Wide service temperature range between -50°C to 170°C.

TECAPEI PEI Natural grade is FDA certified for food contact. TECAPEI PEI Natural & TECAPEI PEI GF30 (glass filled) is FAR 25.853 approved for aerospace applications. TECAPEI PEI is widely used in electronics, automotive, mechanical, medical & vacuum technologies.
Additives & Modifiers
TECAPEI PEI GF30 is available reinforced with 30% glass fibres which offers higher rigidity, increased mechanical strength & additionally providing dimensional stability. TECAPEI PEI GF30 is used for components subject to high static loads in constant high temperature applications.
Applications
Typically TECAPEI PEI plastic is used in electrical, automotive, aerospace applications such as: circuit breaker housings, non-combustible connectors, jet engine components, aircraft & automotive components, coils & fuses, heat exchangers & medical components.
